Prezzo could be my most-visited restaurant (simply because the almost weekly Nandos addiction is over!), mainly because it is so close to where I work, and there is always many options for vegans!

So, checking the menu, the following items are suitable for vegans:

Intros

  • Marinated Olives/Mixed Olive Selection
  • Italian Hummus

Starters

  • Vegan Sharing Board

Mains

Pasta

  • Penne Arrabbiata Classic/Light – Crushed chillies, parsley and garlic in a pomodoro sauce.
  • Vegan Pappardelle Classic/Light – With a mix of chargrilled vegetables, roasted red pepper tapenade, parsley, rocket, and smoked balsamic dressing.

Pizza

  • Funghi – Mushrooms, spinach, truffle oil, parsley, Italian cheese and rocket – Ask to remove the cheese.
  • Tropicana – Pineapple, prosciutto, mushrooms, mozzarella, tomato – ask to remove meat and dairy (prosciutto and cheese)
  • Custom PizzaThis is my favourite thing to do, just order a basic margherita with no cheese, and add all the toppings you like! I pick cherry tomatoes, spinach, asparagus, mushroom, pepper, and if they have it at the time butternut squash!

Salads

  • Warm Winter Superfood – With amix of chargrilled vegetables, cherry tomatoes, rocket, burrata mozzarella, basil and smoked balsamic dressing – Ask to leave off the mozzarella.

Desserts

  • Blood Orange Sorbet

Sides

  • Rocket SaladAsk for it without cheese.
  • Mixed Salad
  • House Fries

Kids Menu

  • Mini Salad – Lettuce, cherry tomatoes and cucumber.
  • Spaghetti Pasta with Tomato Sauce
  • Penne Pasta with Tomato Sauce
  • Custom Pizza – This is my favourite thing to do, just order a basic margherita with no cheese, and add all the toppings you like! I pick cherry tomatoes, spinach, asparagus, mushroom, pepper, and if they have it at the time butternut squash!

  1. India says:

My waiter thought the cherry sorbet contained egg whites x

  2. StyleDestino says:

the problem is their pizza base is not vegan. They specify that it has some diary, check their allergen menu http://www.prezzorestaurants.co.uk/globalassets/pdfs/weekly-reports/prezzo-main-menu-report-03052016.pdf

    • Rich says:

I have asked, and they said the base is vegan, but appears to contain milk on the allergen list because they are taking into account the finished pizza, i.e. with the cheese on top.

  3. Count Lestat says:

the pimms lemonade sorbet is now discontinued according to the waiter so I ordered the blood orange sorbet which is vegan because the waiter checked it tastes scrumptious!

  4. Excellent! Sounds wonderful ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. tracy says:

I had an awful time recently in Prezzo – I always check what places fry the chips in and the waitress checked and told me they are in the same fryer as meat!
They then put pesto (non vegan) on the vegan sharing board.
By this time I had started to doubt everything – do they griddle the bread on a meat griddle?

I did contact them and they said that this was not common practice across all of there stores (one is enough!!!)

Not sure I would go back despite being emailed a voucher

  6. Tom says:

The pizza bases are NOT vegan they contain whey powder which is MILK they tweet out that they are vegan and then i spoke to a chef at the restaurant and he confirmed they were not vegan

  7. Ajay Kapoor says:

Could someone please confirm whether the fries are cooked in the same fryer as meat products?

  8. According to the allergen pdf the hummus has milk in it. How ridiculous is that.
